community dedicated to the improvement of student learning.
This is, in fact, the educational initiative that the high
school faculty has adopted and to which all of our efforts are
directed.

            
The mission of Berlin High School is to engage all
students in intellectual processes of the highest quality.
Students will acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge
and develop their intellectual and physical potential for
lifetime learning and personal fulfillment. We believe that
students should be appropriately challenged to think
creatively and critically, to reason and to solve problems.

            
We believe that our students should become responsible,
contributing members of society and should further develop
sound personal, ethical and moral character.

            
We believe that our students should understand and
appreciate the diverse and multicultural nature of the society
and world in which we live.

            
We believe that the family, school and community should
form a support network to meet the variety of each student’s
needs.

            
At Berlin High School, all staff members share
responsibility to provide a safe environment that promotes a
positive attitude towards learning, mutual respect among all
members of the school community and high expectations for
student achievement. We believe that in this environment,
students can successfully assume responsibility for their own
