CLASS OF 2009 PROJECT GRADUATION PARTY

Dear Friends of Berlin High School:
  The Berlin High School senior class of 2009 is excited and anxious as they await their project graduation party! Each year, parents of the senior class raise funds for the purpose of providing a fun, safe and memorable event completely free from drugs and alcohol.
From kindergarten through to their senior year, the students have been preparing for this senior night! They have learned invaluable skills from both the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program and Berlin High School’s Upbeat program. The purpose of the D.A.R.E. program is to teach the students skills to enable them to handle peer pressure and to learn how to resist drugs, alcohol, gangs and violence. As students advance into high school, the Upbeat Program moves to the forefront and transforms the students into strong leaders for the future. Upbeat helps them to identify and develop their unique talents and impresses upon them the vital link and fundamental importance of giving back to the community through a variety of community-based initiatives and projects. This year-end party is a culmination of both their D.A.R.E. and Upbeat experience. It is a long-standing and highly anticipated tradition at Berlin High. The night promises to be a magical surprise themed-event in which decorations transform the high school into an unforgettable evening for the seniors.
As you may expect fundraising for this fantastic party begins with the start of school in September and continues throughout the year. Through your generous donations and a host of creative senior parent volunteers who donate their time, talent, and energy coordinating and developing new and diverse fundraising events, it is our hope to provide yet another outstanding Project Graduation for the class of 2009.
This year, the 2009 Project Graduation party is planned for June 14, 2009. It promises to be an extraordinary experience for the students creating treasured memories that are sure to last a lifetime. We are certain that you will agree an event like this is a wonderful way for students to complete their high school experience free from dangers such as drugs and alcohol!
To that end, in order to achieve a goal of over $40,000, we are kindly asking for your continued support as you have so generously done in the past with a monetary contribution and/or raffle donation of your choice. This year, we are offering sponsorships in the following categories: A diamond Senior Redcoat sponsor is a donation of $1,000 or more, a Silver Senior Redcoat sponsor is a donation of $500.00 (to $999.00) and a Bronze redcoat sponsor is a donation of $250.00 (to $499.00). Families and friends are also invited to make a Redcoat “09” sponsorship with a donation of your choice. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated by the “09” class and their parents. When possible, we pledge to promote and advertise supporting businesses unless requested otherwise.
Please consider donating whatever you can for this worthy cause, making checks payable to BHS Graduation Party 2009, and submit them to the address below. Additionally, the committee will happily provide “pick up” for necessary items. On behalf of the entire Graduation Committee, I sincerely thank you for your contribution and your generosity.
