The third issue of The Redcoat Review is now available at BHS! Newspapers can be found in Ms. Bafumi or Mrs. Jarusinsky's rooms, as well as the Library and numerous other classrooms throughout the school. Also, articles and submissions are now being accepted for the fourth and final issue of the school year. The graduating class will be the main focus, and seniors are greatly encouraged to participate in this "Class of 2010 Issue". See newspaper advisors Ms. Bafumi, Mrs. Jarusinsky, or Nick Addamo with questions and/or submissions.

Thursday, March 4th, 2010:

After a search process that started last fall and included nationwide advertising, focus groups, community forums and dozens of hours of interviews, the Berlin Board of Education has appointed David B. Erwin as the next Superintendent of the Berlin Public Schools. 

Mr. Erwin, currently the Superintendent of Schools of the Avon Public Schools, has served as a superintendent for fifteen years, including ten years in the Montville Public Schools. During his tenure in Montville he assumed an important leadership role in the renovation of all of the district’s schools. During his time as a superintendent of schools, Mr. Erwin has received a number of professional honors including, the Connecticut PTA Honorary Life Membership Award, the Outstanding Superintendent Award from the Neag School of Education (UConn) Alumni Society, and the 2006 Connecticut Superintendent of the Year Award.
